Why Alias exists

We didn't fix the swipe.
We deleted it.

Alias began with one observation: the people most worth meeting are the least willing to put their face and name on a dating app. So we built the app where they don't have to — where a persona does the talking, and the reveal comes last.

The problem

A decade of swiping, and meeting people got worse.

0.5s

Judged in half a second

That's how long a face gets before the verdict. Your humour, your taste, your voice — none of it was ever in the running.

Swipe fatigue is real

Hundreds of thumbnails a night, matches that open with “hey” — or never open at all. The apps optimised for the swipe, not the meeting.

Day 1

The safety tax

Face, name and locality handed to strangers before a single word is exchanged. In India, women pay that tax highest — and quietly leave.

Swipe apps turned people into thumbnails. We turn them back.

Mood before face. A note before a match. A person before a profile. Alias runs the whole thing in reverse — and the reveal is the reward, not the entry fee.

What we believe

Four convictions. One product.

01

Chemistry is not a jawline.

It's the mood you're in, the quirk that makes someone reply, twenty seconds of your actual voice, the playlist you'd never admit to. A persona carries all of it — moods, vibe images, quirks, a voice intro — and none of it needs your face.

02

Privacy is a feature, not a setting.

App Lock, ghost mode, masked distance, hidden from your contacts, a card statement that reads “TFPL Digital”. Protection isn't buried three menus deep for the paranoid — it's the default state of the product.

03

Anonymous, never unaccountable.

Every persona sits on a real, Realr-verified human — we see the proof, never the documents. Live moderation reads every image and message, and report-and-block is one tap away. Hiding your face is not hiding from consequences.

04

Your face is the last chapter.

Interest costs a sentence — every Vibe carries a note. Matches fade in 14 days, so conversations move or make room. And the reveal is a moment you both choose, never a demand.

A face behind a camera — the vibe speaks first

People fall for your energy first. The rest unfolds on your terms.

Who we are

From India, for India.

Alias is built by Technofledge Pvt Ltd, alongside Realr, our identity-verification layer. The two-product split is the privacy promise made structural: the app that knows who you like never learns who you are, and the service that knows who you are never sees who you like.

We're launching one city at a time — Bengaluru first— because a dating app is only as good as who's actually near you. Women join free; membership is ₹299 a month, less than two coffees.

Launching in Bengaluru No face by default

Be someone, before you're a face.

Create a persona in under a minute. Reveal on your terms.
